Summary

Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is in compliance with this federal requirement as demonstrated by the accuracy of recruitment materials that are continually reviewed and updated by the responsible departments, divisions, and administrative personnel. This ensures accurate representation of the College’s practices, policies, and academic programs. All recruitment material is approved by the Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations to ensure an accurate representation of the institution’s practices and policies prior to release.

Narrative

Recruitment information used by the College includes the FTCC website, College Catalog, recruitment brochures, High School Connections brochure and the Student Handbook. Additional publications, such as the financial aid handbook, and videos, are made available to faculty, staff, students, and general public. Those documents are also used in special presentations made at local community and high school events such as college days, classroom presentations, and FTCC campus tours.

FTCC marketing and recruitment activities are extensive, which include billboards, newspapers, social media, and public broadcasting that must be approved by Marketing and Public Relations before release. Recruitment brochures are available on campus and at over 100 locations in the service delivery area. Faculty, staff, and administrators make presentations nationally and locally using college-approved materials to market the opportunities available at FTCC.

The College catalog, student handbook, consumer information, and the Credit for Prior Learning Handbook and website are revised regularly. Faculty, staff, and students are referred to the College’s website for the current version of each document. Additionally, FTCC has a dedicated group of student ambassadors who promote and assist in marketing and recruitment activities.
