Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is in compliance with this comprehensive standard. Department chairs and/or program coordinators are responsible for program coordination, curriculum development and delivery, program review, and assessment.
Narrative
FTCC offers Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in General Education (AGE), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Engineering (AE) and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees. The College’s curricula programs are divided into seven divisions:
- Arts and Humanities
- Business Programs
- Computer & Information Technology Programs
- Engineering and Applied Technology Programs
- Public Service
- Health Programs
- Math and Science
Each division is led by an academically qualified dean (pg. 68). The dean is assisted by either division chairs (pg. 390), department chairs (pg. 387), and/or program coordinators (pg. 291) that are also academically qualified in their respective fields. These leaders are responsible for curricula development, delivery, review, program assessment and monitoring daily operations. They also provide input for strategic planning, make budget recommendations for faculty positions, equipment, and facility renovations, as well as coordinate program advisory committees (pg. 7).
